TRAVERSING NEW TERRITORY: AN EXPLORATION OF SOIL AND SOUL

This is the story of a teacher and a therapist who embarked on an adventure to empower and enrich the lives of teenage wildings and wordsmiths.

Teenagers are bundles of contradictions, wrapped in paradox, dipped in enigma. They are trying to find their footing in a rapidly changing world. We’re here to help.

Wildwood Wordsmiths is a tool shed for teachers and teens. Our goal is to connect teenagers to themselves, others, the land, and literature. Using concepts from narrative therapy, eco-therapy and bibliotherapy, we’re excited to show teachers new ways to guide students on their path of self-discovery, relationship, and inner exploration.

Using the metaphor of wilderness exploration, we will chart a course through our own inner landscapes. So lace up your boots and get ready to pitch an A-frame–we’re headed into the wild!
